Scholarships for Wood County, West Virginia residents graduating from high school who show financial need and good character and will attend a West Virginia college, university or trade school; each county high school's principal and counselor pick up to two applicants, who submit a written application (from the WesBanco trust department) by April 1. Seventeen awards last year, about $9,700 each.
