- GPA of at least 2.75
- Test scores: ACT/SAT bonus, e.g. ACT 25 = $393, ACT 28+ = $500 per college year
- Homeschool: Kentucky homeschool, non-certified school and GED (ages 18-23) graduates earn KEES based solely on highest ACT or SAT score (preferred, not required)
- Citizenship: U.S. citizen
